For many years now, theories have been founded and re-founded, which prove beyond doubt, that every child is unique. The Child's learning styles, pace, interests, capacity, everything differs. Why then, do we treat education as only a means to create an end product that fits existing market conditions? “You could win the rat race, but you still remain a rat”, goes a popular saying. Every child is burdened with the daily rut and grind of schooling; physically with over-weight backpacks, mentally with retention of information without understanding the concept and emotionally with the stress of matching exceeding expectations. How and why do we expect the child to reach their destination with no direction through the journey?

In the Montessori approach, universal, inherent characteristics such as exploration, communication, repetition, and orientation are seen as the driving behaviour at every stage of development. The Elementary Montessori Program at the Valiants Academy is for children between the ages of 6 and 12, who come from a Montessori background. It is specifically designed to meet the needs of a child who has entered a new imaginative, social and creative phase of development.
The Elementary Montessori Program is built on the foundations of the primary program. While traditional curriculum delineates what a child is supposed to learn, in the Montessori approach, we want a child to be able to learn everything!
Therefore, the Elementary Montessori curriculum is only limited by a child’s imagination. The starting point for all courses are impressionistic and scientific stories of cosmology, astronomy, earth science, geography, chemistry, physics, biology, history, language, math, music, and art.
