Subject: Culture day dress code
Dear Parents
In continuation to our previous mail regards to the cultural activities at school and timetable, we would like to mention that the dress code for boys and girls mentioned is for them to participate in the elements of culture such as tabala, theatre, art etc.
Children are required to be in comfortable kurta / chudidhar preferably cotton for the entire day and there is no need to them to bring spare clothes to be changed before or after the time allocated for the activity. They are to be in the same traditional dress of the entire day. It is not a CULTURAL DAY.
Kindly note the same and remind them to wear appropriate dress on the days it says “Culture” in the timetable.

Subject: Journal handed over to children
Dear Parents,
Greetings from Valiants Academy!
Cosmic education is the plan in our environment at Valiants Academy. However, the implementation of the same requires an adult to be in this journey and help the children to consolidate their learning. The essential tool is the journal in which the child writes her/his plan of work for the day. It is simply a responsible way of recording the Children’s learning and reflections.
Planning and Recording the work done at school and Assignments are the first sections of the Journal. The next section is Interactions between the parent and the adult.
We have given the journals to the children, Mr. Sujay, our Founder has described the core elements of the journal like how to specify, clarify, quantify and beautify their journals. He has explained it so well to individual children of each environment, presented it with utmost care and affection that inspired them. Journal writing is a great lesson by itself and he added that it would know its value as they turn these pages and it will certainly be nostalgic in future.
As educators or parents, it is for us to encourage respect journaling style, decorate as they choose to and write their thoughts and reflections. It really becomes a personal possession that is cherished by the children.
We expect children to bring the journal every day. Children are very familiar with this activity. We have seen children enjoy writing journals that result in creative ideas and presentations at show and tell! Any communication from the parent to the adult or vice versa can be through this journal. Parents are requested to review the journal of the children on a daily basis to support the child in completing their assignments and note any intimation sent.
We have seen children hug their journals to their hearts !

Subject: Silent Journey Invite
Dear Parents,
Valiants’ Silent Journey and Discovery is an event dedicated to parents to provide a meaningful experience of visiting each of our programs from Pre-primary through Upper Elementary and the Transitional Environment.
We invite you to experience the magic and science behind Montessori material. You are here to discover how the presentations are learned in our pre-primary programs . We set the tone and lay an important foundation to prepare children for higher academic and critical thinking skills for higher grades. The idea of Silent Journey is to give parents an occasion to experience their children’s learning environment from a new perspective-to look, observe, reflect, contemplate and then experience a working cycle themselves.
This is a wonderful opportunity to gain a sense of how the Montessori Curriculum unfolds through the eye of a child, nature and the natural unfolding of the child to inspire a lifetime love for learning and peace.
Who: All Valiants’ Parents Invited (Grade 1 to Grade 7)

Subject: Musical Evening Invite
Dear Parents
In today’s information overload world, what is visible and makes noise is recognized irrespective of what life values they actually transmit. It then becomes our responsibility to explore the role each one of us should take to expose our children to the rich culture we have in this country. Elements of culture present itself in various forms and in the Indian context we believe they are deep rooted and have significance to life.
The vision of VALIANTS has been to create a learning space not just limited to academics but to aspects of life. In line with this thought, we are pleased to invite you and your known circle of friends and relatives to a Musical Evening planned on KARTHIKA SOMAVARA, 31st October 2022. The event will be at our Campus Amphitheatre.
Details of the program are as hereunder.

2. 5:15 – Performance by Valiants Children.
3. 5:45 – Hindustani Music from Mr.Laxminarayana Bhat (Vocal), Santosh (Tabla) and his team.

Dear Parents,
We wish to express our gratitude to all Parents' Community for the initiative you have taken in presenting gifts to our supporting staff. The thought of “Joy of Giving “was very meaningful and gifts that you chose to offer were of essentials, fulfilling the needs of a family and reflecting generosity. Children were delighted to give away the gifts personally to each supporting staff.

Dear Parents,
Greetings from Valiants Academy !
Valiants Academy has always believed that being creative allows one to be more flexible and emerge as better problem solvers, which makes them more capable in terms of adapting to technological advances and making the most of new opportunities.
Creativity is more skill than inborn talent, an ability which both parents and adults can facilitate among the children by giving them an opportunity to express themselves. Our children in Grade 7 took the initiative of making a movie. It is indeed a pleasure for us to nurture them in every way in all phases of development. Art teacher Prajeesh will be part of this programme. Children have requested to keep the school open on 4th February to work on this movie. We have considered their request as a reflection of our encouragement and support to complete the filming of the movie. Adults will be at school on this day along with the children to support them.
We are also arranging for school transport. Children intend to be at school till 4:15 and bus will leave the campus at 4:30 pm, the pick and drop points are shared in this mail. Lunch and snacks will be provided for children at school.
If parents are willing to drop and pick up the child on their own, they can do so as per the timings mentioned here.
Mentioned below are the Pickup/drop Point. Kindly inform us of the preferred Pickup/drop Point for your child by email on or before 02/02/2023.

Subject: Holi Celebrations
Dear Parents,
In our Indian culture every season is welcomed with great joy and celebration. Now it is the time to bid farewell to winter and welcome spring with varied colour and fragrance. Everyone comes together and celebrates the oneness of humanity, and that is our Holi festival.
We have organized the “Holi Celebrations” on 3rd March, 2023 between 2.00 p.m. and 2.45 p.m. in the school football ground with strategic allotment of space for younger and older children under adult supervision, safety and care.
Kindly note the instructions for the Celebration of Holi at campus.
Children will be dressed in dry fit clothes. Let them bring a spare set of clothes for change.
We will provide all the colours for playing Holi. Let them not bring any colours from home.
Children from grade 4 to 9 are allowed to bring “Pichakaree” or water guns of medium size for children to handle and also easy to refill.
Children from Grade 1 to 3 children will just play with dry safe colours and will not play with water. So, we request parents not to send Pichakaree.
The Holi Celebrations will be in the football ground Children who have chosen not to play “Holi” will choose to be an audience.

Subject : Birthday Celebration at school
Dear Parents,
Arctic Ocean children are celebrating their birthday together on March 3rd. They will be visiting a nearby farm and will be eating their breakfast and lunch at the farm brought by the children.
They will be back to school by afternoon for Holi celebration.
Children need to bring the decided dish along with them in the morning.
Kindly send the items neatly packed and labeled with your child's full name.
Whole fruits and vegetables can be sent in regular carry bags.
Liquids to be sent in air tight containers. Sweets can be store bought.
Herewith we have attached the child's chosen dish for your reference.

Subject: Super market visit for Pre Primary children
Dear Parents,
Things children should carry:
1. A comfortable cloth shopping bag with a child's name written on it.
2. Amount to be sent along with the child is Rs. 200/-.
3. Shopping list will be sent with the child by Monday and requesting parents to help the child fill the same and get it along with them for the visit on Tuesday.
4. Make sure to write about those items (avoid junk food) which are easily available and within the budget.
5. Children need to be in Valiants T-shirt on Tuesday for the Supermarket visit.

Happy evening. Grade 9 children were given introduction to economics, components of economics and the features covered under this subject area. During the discussion that followed, children wanted to know about the stock market, sensex and the dynamic changes it undergoes.
As a follow up to this, we have requested Mr. Anil P Dev, a well informed person in this field and an investor himself, to share details on the above and clear the questions children have.

Subject : Open House Invite for parents
Dear Parents,
At Valiants’, learning is seen as a process and journey because it is a continuous and ongoing experience that is unique to each individual child. Valiants’ approach to education emphasizes the importance of self-directed learning, where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and make a meaning of the world around them at their own pace and in their own way.
Valiant’s education method is designed to be child-centered and holistic, taking into account the child's intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development. The learning experience is tailored to the individual needs, interests, and abilities of each child, with the adult acting as a guide and facilitator.
In this approach, learning is viewed as an active process of discovery, rather than a passive acquisition of information. The child is encouraged to engage in hands-on, experiential learning activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. They are given the freedom to choose their own work and to pursue their interests, which fosters a sense of ownership and motivation in their learning process.
You are invited to experience the children’s learning, at Valiants as OPEN HOUSE. Open House is a display of the child’s learning in various areas represented in different forms of presentation. Children have worked diligently as individual contributors and as team participants in group work. The interest and time invested in each work they have done is commendable and a pleasure to observe. They have surprised us with their skill and representation of concepts, which are beyond the text. The work displayed in our Open House can speak volumes about the individual child’s and their perspectives, as well as the overall culture of the school. This is an opportunity to acknowledge the learning of children and appreciate the process of joyful learning for the child
We have also planned for an ART EXHIBITION which is a collation of all the work done by children in arts over the year. It can demonstrate the diversity of artistic styles and media, and highlight the unique voices of each individual child. By showcasing their artwork, children can also communicate their ideas, emotions, and experiences in a powerful, meaningful way. This includes the overall artistic and cultural landscape of our school and a community as well.
The joy of every child is when their work is acknowledged and appreciated by their parents. Their intensity to do better is fuelled by the words of encouragement they get for the effort they have invested. Parents are requested to visit the school campus at least 30min earlier to the allocated time and go through all the presentations in the OPEN HOUSE and also visit the ART Exhibition before coming for the interaction.
Children are to accompany the parents for this event. They can be a guide for the parents to take them around as they explain the work they have done and also those of their friends. While the parents are interacting with the adults, children can be in the campus exploring their friends’ works in the open house and appreciating all the artworks displayed in the Art Exhibition.
