Annual Report

VALIANTS ACADEMY, Bangalore aims to be the point of reference of futuristic education with a blend of scientific philosophy of education, proven by educationists of the past. We nurture children with a lot of care and foster a happy learning environment.   Mr. Sujay, our Founder of the school takes immense pleasure to present you a report of our activities and achievements for the academic year 2021-22. 

Our founder Mr. Sujay wishes to create a dynamic environment to discover the individual potential in a subtle manner with the best practices of child centric learning.   With child’s happiness at the focus, we provide opportunities for a holistic development of children. 

Our significant achievements are worth mentioning.  Our proactive, dynamic, inspiring leadership motivates us to accomplish our academic goal.  Our Principal Mrs. Prabhavathy and our dear teachers focus not only on academics but also extracurricular and co- curricular activities.  The sense of responsibility, team spirit and compassion are the values as envisaged by our Founder realised as an important milestone this academic year.

ASSEMBLY: 

Assembly every day is thematic, with meditation, yoga, singing songs, all self – driven by children.   The mornings are serene and we create an ambience of calmness, divine for the children to start a day to keep them emotionally secure, safe, loving to focus on their day’s academics.  It is one of the new innovative ways of conducting morning assembly and a discipline starts this in Valiants Academy.  The staff and children equally participate in the Programme led by the children. This innovation brings in the change, adds a new value to betterment and success.

ENVIRONMENT EDUCATION:  

It is an integral part of all concepts imparted and the aspect is emphasized at all times not only voice of the day but in activities are all based on the environment education theme across grades and subjects.   Children use waste materials and prepare the projects wherever possible. As an institution we are eco – friendly:  

  • Children are aware of the all-different kinds of waste and we have our compost unit. 

  • Nature study is incorporated in the curriculum. The field trips and trekking programmes are organised aligning with nature study and the visits are valleys which are protected.  For example:  Sharavathy Valley

  • The school has a sewerage plant.   

  • The School is using energy saving electrical equipment. 

 

PARENT TEACHER MEETING:  The Parent teacher Meetings were held twice one for each term.  Parents are always included in the forum of review and also included in the activities of the school

 

EDUCATIONAL VISITS: 

  • Children of Grade 3 & 4 visited Agriculture University, Hebbal to witness the insect exhibition.

  • Children of Grade 6 visited the virtual exhibition of the Periodic Table held by the research students of various Universities in India.  

 

TOUR PROGRAMMES:

  •  Children of Grade 1 spent an evening and a night out at school campus. It is a very well-planned programme including playing outdoor games and indoor games as per the children’s Choice.  The day includes their own menu for the night and cook the dinner along with the teachers. 

  • Children of Grade 2 went to the vegetable farm Chiguru and enjoyed experiencing the plantation of all different kinds of vegetables and fruits. 

  • Children of Grade 3 made a trip to Kaigal, a visit to a tribal School adopted by Jiddu Krishnamurti Foundation.  They spent the day with the tribal children and experienced life of tribal children and surroundings. 

  • Children of Grade 4 went on a tour to Tanjore and they did the research work on art and architecture of Tanjore.  They also had interaction with artisans of Tanjore who carved bronze idols for which Tanjore is well known for generations.

  • Children of Grade 5 & 6 went to Sharavathy Valley to the forest area on trekking and spent five days in the natural environment.  They relished the local food , and lived the life of the locals in that place. 

 

CELEBRATIONS:   

  •  Independence Day:   Independence Day was celebrated in the School Campus.  Flag hoisting and programmes reflected patriotism and national fervour. 

  • Karnataka Rajyotsava Day: Karnataka Rajyotasava Day was celebrated on November 2, 2021.  Children participated in the cultural programmes and entertained the parents and teachers. 

  • Sports Day:  Sports Day was celebrated with grandeur.  Children participated with enthusiasm and cheer.  Many displays of Yoga, aerobics and drills fascinated the guests and parents. 

 

OPEN HOUSE:  

The Concluding function is the Open House.  Children showcased all the presentations, projects and their art work of the whole year in all subjects.  The theme was Civilizations and Heritage of the World.  The models prepared by the children were so well crafted and children were at their best demonstrating their work, explaining it to the guests.  It was really amazing to see children answering questions and putting in their thoughts and acquired knowledge. 

The year came to a close in the month of March, 2022.
